A cart removes rubble from Yasser Arafat International Airport in southern Gaza. The airport was destroyed by Israeli warplanes in 2001 and 2002, and has become a source of building materials for much needed reconstruction in Gaza. Local men, women, and children work to gather rubble and gravel from underneath the runway and the ruined terminals, for use in concrete, which under the blockade is severely lacking in Gaza.
