The town of Wadi Halfa in Northern Sudan, pictured on Tuesday, March. 20, 2007. The port used to be a thriving Nubian town but the building of the High Dam at Aswan in Egypt meant the town was inundated. The new Wadi Halfa, only a shadow of its former self, is set back from Lake Nasser as floods are common.
