The Zagara bracelet is modeled by a Maasai woman at Marula Studios, Nairobi, Kenya, on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009. The Maasai are one of groups who contribute to production of the MAX&Co. range and mainly carry out bead work at which they are specialists. Marula Studios is the headquarters for MAX&Co. operations in Kenya and produces some of the MAX&Co. range as well as their own products such as a range of items made from recycled flip flops. Once the various community groups have finished their MAX&Co. orders they are sent here to Marula Studios and are packaged before shipment.
